Bruce may have been lying in endgame.He never Really figured things out with hulk.

In Avengers: Endgame, Bruce Banner casually claimed that he and Hulk had “figured things out.” But looking back at everything that happened afterward, that explanation starts to feel VERY suspicious.

Professor Hulk looked like the perfect combination of Bruce's intelligence and Hulk's strength. Then She-Hulk introduced another interesting piece of the puzzle: Hulk's inhibitor.

So why was Bruce still using an inhibitor?

It could have been about control and safety. Even as Smart Hulk, Bruce was still an enormous and potentially dangerous being. The inhibitor may have allowed him to live around other people without constantly worrying about Hulk taking over.

Then Brand New Day potentially changes everything.

Bruce seems to believe that Jean Grey broke something inside his mind. Whatever balance he had established with Hulk may have been disrupted when Jean entered his mind.

And then Peter reveals something even more dangerous. A universal inhibitor capable of permanently locking Hulk away.

That may have triggered exactly what Bruce was trying to avoid.

The result?

HULK.

So maybe Bruce wasn't secretly suppressing Hulk all along. Maybe he had finally learned to coexist with him until Jean broke the balance. And now that Hulk is back.
