Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Post-Credit Scene Could Be Setting Up Latveria

A fascinating Spider-Man: Brand New Day theory suggests that the movie’s post-credit scene may be much more important to Avengers: Doomsday than it initially appears.

According to the theory, Spider-Man being shown in space does not necessarily mean Peter Parker has traveled deep into the universe. Instead, he could still be somewhere around Earth’s orbit while witnessing the beginning of a massive multiversal event.

The key to the theory is Latveria and Doctor Doom.

The idea is that Doomsday could eventually bring Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to Latveria, where one of the movie’s major battles against Doom takes place. If that happens, the ending of Brand New Day could effectively move Peter directly into the events of the next Avengers movie.

There is another interesting piece to this theory: another Earth appearing in the sky above Earth-616.

Rather than Spider-Man traveling toward another planet, another universe could literally be coming toward him. If an incursion causes two realities to collide, Peter could look into the sky and see an entirely different Earth approaching Earth-616.

And that Earth could potentially be connected to the Fantastic Four.

This would completely change the meaning of Spider-Man appearing to be “in space.” Peter wouldn't necessarily be leaving Earth behind. He could be witnessing the moment the boundaries between universes begin collapsing.

The theory becomes even crazier when combined with rumors surrounding Avengers: Doomsday. Some speculation suggests Deadpool could become involved with a group of heroes from different universes during the wider multiversal conflict.

If something like that happens, Spider-Man could eventually find himself fighting alongside characters such as Deadpool, Captain Marvel, the Fantastic Four, and other heroes against Doctor Doom.

This could potentially lead everyone toward Latveria, making Doom's country one of the most important locations in the final stages of Doomsday.

There is also an interesting explanation for Ned's Spider-Man tracker. If it suddenly appears to show something strange or impossible, everyone might assume Peter has somehow traveled incredibly far away.

But what if Peter hasn't moved nearly as far as they think?

What if another Earth moved toward him?

That would make the Brand New Day post-credit scene a clever misdirection. Audiences could initially believe Marvel is teasing a cosmic Spider-Man adventure, only for Avengers: Doomsday to reveal that Peter was witnessing the beginning of an incursion.

From there, Spider-Man could be pulled into the multiversal Avengers conflict and eventually arrive in Latveria for the confrontation with Doctor Doom.

For now, this remains a fan theory rather than a confirmed plot point. But if Brand New Day ends with Peter looking at something enormous approaching Earth, the question might not be “Where did Spider-Man go?”
